"Appropriate" is a painting I made during a time I was coming out of artist block. During that time, I looked back at an older piece of work I did of the same subject and I remembered when I use to focus on painting in a style that I thought was "appropriate" by the standards of the art world. Realizing that there is no appropriate way to create something, I wanted to recreate this piece in a style and form that felt was more appropriate to how I've grown as an artist.
